C.1. Perisoru, Romania – JUNE 2018

Profile of participants: the participants are members of the target group (13-15-year-olds)

who will be selected for the purpose of this exchange. The participating teachers are teachers of English and Literature who will coordinate students before the exchange and will create activities that are meant to improve interpretative skills (e.g. identification of the main ideas, inference, coming to conclusions, making predictions, extension and evaluation). There will be 4 students from Italy, Portugal and Spain and 3 students from Turkey, accompanied by 2 teachers / country.

In this one, we will be focused on developing students' creativity - in writing, in drawing, painting starting from stories.

The exchange will include several types of activities:

  1. Ice-breaking activities - communication games, drama activities, tour of the school

  2. Cultural events - artistic programme, presentations of countries, schools, regions,  towns.

  3. Topic-related activities - teachers run the activities prepared for the exchange, while students in their teams help the others with the assignments. Students are asked to create the illustration of a story/a book cover.

  4. Attending lessons - students and teachers are invited to classes of their choice - each class will be attended by 4-5 participants.

  5. The creation of products by students - students work in multicultural teams and create posters of the exchange (also used as a tool for evaluating the impact)

  6. Evaluation activities - students complete initial surveys and final surveys as well as feedback forms, to measure the success of the event; the host contact person completes Europass Mobility documents, presents the certificates of attendance.

C.2. Roma, Italy – NOVEMBER 2018

Profile of participants: the participants are members of the target group (13-15-year-olds)

who will be selected for the purpose of this exchange. The participating teachers are teachers

of English and Literature who will coordinate students before the exchange and will create activities that are meant to improve critical thinking skills (e.g. K-W-L charts, Think-Pair-Share, Body Sculpting - Using Theatre to Explore Important Ideas etc.) There will be 5 students from Romania, Portugal and Spain and 3 students from Turkey, accompanied by 2 teachers / country.

The topic of the exchange ıs "Using stories to develop critical thinking skills".

The exchange will include several types of activities:

  1. Ice-breaking activities - communication games, drama activities, tour of the school

  2. Cultural events - artistic programme, presentations of countries, schools, regions,  towns.

  3. Topic-related activities - teachers run the activities prepared for the exchange. Each guest team will have to apply the activities related to a story from their country. At the end, a treasure hunt game is played by all participants, divided in multicultural groups and supervised by at least one teacher/group.

  4. Attending lessons - students and teachers are invited to classes of their choice - each class will be attended by 4-5 participants.

  5. The creation of products by students - students work in multicultural teams and create posters of the exchange (also used as a tool for evaluating the impact)

  6. Evaluation activities - students complete initial surveys and final surveys as well as feedback forms, to measure the success of the event; the host contact person completes Europass Mobility documents, presents the certificates of attendance.

C.3. Olhão, Portugal – MARCH 2019

Profile of participants: the participants are members of the target group (13-15-year-olds)

who will be selected for the purpose of this exchange. The participating teachers are teachers of English and Arts who will coordinate students before and during the exchange and will design activities that are meant to improve creativity (e.g. open-ended art, music, movement and dance activities). Before the event, the project teams decide on the countries from Europe about which the students have to do research in terms of famous story characters. There will be 5 students from Italy and Spain, 4 students from Romania and 3 students from Turkey, accompanied by 2 teachers / country.

The topic of the exchange is "The Map of European Stories".

The exchange will include several types of activities:

  1. Ice-breaking activities - communication games, drama activities, tour of the school

  2. Cultural events - artistic programme, presentations of countries, schools, regions,  towns.

  3. Topic-related activities - teachers run the activities prepared for the exchange. Each guest team will have to apply the activities related to a story from their country.

  4. Attending lessons - students and teachers are invited to classes of their choice - each class will be attended by 4-5 participants.

  5. The creation of products by students - at the end of the week, a c is created with story and folktale characters from around Europe.

  6. Evaluation activities - students complete initial surveys and final surveys as well as feedback forms, to measure the success of the event; the host contact person completes Europass Mobility documents, presents the certificates of attendance.
